Two simple designs in different sizes are dropping this spring in time for your next fishing trip.
These are the first dedicated filet knives to come from Case in a while, and they’re pretty straightforward designs.
Here’s a quick rundown:
- There’ll be two different blade sizes: 6 inches and 8 inches.
- They’re only calling the steel “stainless” in the press release, but that likely means Tru-Sharp, which they’re own version of 420HC.
- The handles are made from a non-slip synthetic,
- Each knife comes with a slotted plastic blade guard for storage,
- and it sounds like they lean more flexible than rigid.
Prices will be around $55 for the 6-inch knife and $59 for the 8-inch knife, although those prices will likely look different once they hit the vendors. Both Case Filet knives will be available Monday, April 13.
It is nice to see Case back in the fillet knife market. Hopefully they will come out with more fishing friendly designs similar to the Buck Salt Series.
