Fans of the Fastball are getting an early treat with a new Fastballoween.
They’ve taken their classic assisted-open folder and turned it all black with an owl and castle laser engraved into the handle. The handle is aluminum with an orange aluminum backspacer, and they’ve put the S30V steel blade through a tumbled, black oxide treatment. This particular look is only available with a cleaver blade, so hopefully you like a nice, spooky flat edge.
This isn’t the first time Gerber has gone dark with the Fastball. in 2022 they released the Fastball with a similar color scheme and the image of a raven engraved into the handle and the modified wharncliffe version of the blade. This year’s Fastballoween won’t pair quite as well with your bust of Pallas as with a watchful stroll through the woods at night, though.
This themed Fastball is available now but as a limited run, so if you’re gonna get it, get it soon.
