Wood Handle Scales are Now an Option for these CRKT Staples
Just in time for Summer, CRKT has released three new models. The’re new versions of designs by Lucas Burnley and Alan Folts, and they’re available now.
Here’s the quick run down:

The Burnley Squid II’s New Wood Options
The new Squid 2 getting an M390 blade with two new options of different wood scales:
- Santos mahogany wood
- Grainy olive wood.

The Squid design has been one of the strongest budget designs in CRKT’s line up for years. The Squid II hit the scene a little later with a slightly larger profile and a liner lock. These new premium versions are being made in Italy (we’re guessing by LionSteel considering their past collaborations). The MSRP for both versions is $195, and they’re limited run releases, so best not to wait around.
The Minimalist Nessmuk’s New Finish
The new stuff here is a black stonewash blade in 12C27 Sandvik steel with stabilized wood handle scales and a bronze fob.

The nessmuk is a newer shape for CRKT in general, but the Minimalist line has been around for them for a long time as a steadfast neck knife or EDC fixed blade solution. This isn’t a huge departure from the other versions already out which mostly feature Micarta scales with an option for D2 steel, but the dark stonewash finish is definitely a different look.
All new versions of the Squid II and Minimalist Nessmuk are available as of May 28. They’re also be available at CRKT’s booth at Blade Show Atlanta, so be sure to check them out at booth #115.
If you haven’t check out CRKT’s site for a while, you may want to visit. They have been busy releasing a lot of new models over the course of the last year.
