Two New Reiff Knives to Drop in Early April

They’ve Got One for Survival, and One for Bushcraft.

The official release date for the new Reiff F5 and S5 is April5.

It’s big news for fans of the new(ish) US-based knife company: Reiff Knives are finally releasing the F5 Field Survival Knife. And they’re doubling down with a scandi version, which they’re calling the S5 Glider Bushcraft Knife.

Here are the quick specs:

Handle Material:G10 or Micarta
Sheath:Kydex or Leather

The Reiff F5 is a the long-awaited 5-inch addition to Reiff’s line up, which currently consists of the F3, F4, and F6 in various choices of handle materials, steels, and edge grinds. According the announcement page on the Reiff site the “baseline shapes” for the whole F series, including the F5, were drawn up early before they released their flagship models in 2021.

“Since then,” they write, “we’ve been gathering data, direct feedback, testing, iterating and collaborating with survival obsessed experts and professionals in different environments around the world. The knowledge we’ve gained from years of expert collaboration has all been wrapped up into these two models.”

Both the Reiff F5 and S5 can be purchased with a leather sheath or kydex sheath.
Both the Reiff S5 and F5 are available with either a kydex or a Crazy Horse leather sheath.

The Options

  • The S5 Bushcraft model will be available with a canvas Micarta handle in black, natural brown, or a green/black combo;
  • The F5 model has the same Micarta options, or you can go with G10 in orange, OD green, black, coyote tan;
  • They also over a kydex or Crazy Horse leather sheath, which you can order for left or right-hand orientation;
  • Both are available in a stone or acid wash blade finish.
