The Bear and Son Sideliner Has a New Budget Handle Option

The Sideliner is a lightweight pocket knife that Bear and Son Cutlery makes in a wide range of variations from titanium and wood handles and D2 steel. This new iteration (coded 778SR) has a partially serrated blade with Zytel handle scales.

The Bear & Son Sideliner has a new look for the coming new year.

Here are the quick specs:

Overall Length:7.25″
Blade Length:3.25″
Blade Steel:440
Handle Material:Zytel
Lock Type:Liner
Weight2.9 oz

It’s a simple design meant for general hard use. The Zytel handle and 440 steel (drab as that may seem to enthusiasts) makes it tough against corrosion in wet outdoor environments and keeps the weight below three ounces.

This is currently the only model offered by Bear and Son with a Zytel handle, but it’s also one of the few budget folders on the whole market made in America. All variations of the Sideliner come right out of their Alabama factory, except for those under the Bear Edge brand (but there’s few enough of those).

The partially serrated Sideliner with Zytel is available now from most of your favorite vendors.
