Knafs Going Small Again and All American with Little Lulu Kickstarter

Their bushcraft knife is becoming an EDC fixed blade as is their to be made in their own facilities.

A lot of activity going on at Knafs (as usual). The Little Lulu will be their first ever in-house manufactured design thanks in part to their new partnership with Mountain Path Design.

The Quick Specs:

Overall Length:5.2″
Blade Length:1.9″
Blade Steel:Magnacut
Handle Material:Green linen Micarta
Sheath:Pancake-style Kydex
Made In:USA (Mostly Utah)

The Little Lulu features a Magnacut blade just under 2 inches and chips with a pancake-style Kydex sheath with a loop meant to be worn in several variations, including horizontally or on a pack strap.

EDC Sized But Really Designed for Detailed Bushcraft

In the Knafs announcement video posted on May 16, Ben Peterson explains that he started thinking of this design while in the Amazon field testing the first Lulu. He explained that he had to keep borrowing smaller knives from other people for more detailed woodcraft work, so he started drawing.

Now, after two years, a lot of design iterations, and some expert connections in the industry, Knafs is ready to start making it.

The Little Lulu Kickstarter is Live Right Now

Currently there are four different support options, and they look to be filling up fast:

  • The pledge without reward (just because you believe in it)
  • The Run #1: their first batch of 250 pieces (which sold out almost immediately)
  • The Run #2: The second batch of 650 pieces expected to ship in November,
  • The Run #3: Their third batch, number and time of shipping to depend on volume of interest.
