The Gateway Barlow was on full display at Blade Show 2025.
It’s the first (and currently only) pattern under Jack Wolf Knives new series which aims to provide more budget friendly designs.

Gateway knives will be made in the same factory as the other Jack Wolf slip joints, but with more cost effective materials and maybe a little less polish in fit and finish. They will still come in highly stylized thematic packaging which Jack Wolf Knives has become famous for.
While the only pattern will be the Barlow at first, it’s coming with plenty of handle material and color options:
- Abalone
- Back carbon fiber
- Green canvas Micarta
- Rosewood
- Smooth blue bone
Jack Wolf Knives is Keeping Busy This Year
This announcement follows pretty closely on the heels of their release of their second ever US-made design, the Prickly Pear. That was a fixed-blade EDC made in collaboration with Taylor Cortes and manufactured by Misfits Machining, as well as the announcement of the Tango, a frame lock with a compound grind designed by Cerberus Knives that drops on June 13.
Keep An Eye Out for the Gateways
With this rate of activity, it probably won’t be long before we see another pattern in the Gateway series. In the meantime, the Gateway Barlow should be available soon. We don’t have any specific dates, but it sounds like most vendors should be getting them mid to late June.
